Project budget by period
This Report displays budgets per project.
Prerequisite
- Logicim XLGL version 5.0 or higher
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or higher
- Sage 50 Canadian Edition (2014 and above)
What the Report does
The Project budget by period Report gives you an overview of all your project’s budget revenue and expenses partitioned per period.
How to use the Report
- Choose the Fiscal Period on cell C8 of the Instructions worksheet.
- Once set, click the Refresh button on the Logicim XLGL ribbon.
- A well-prepared chart would also be available when you click Go to Chart…
Common use cases
This Report is useful when you want to drill-down on the budgeted expenses and budgeted revenues per project. You can use this Report in tandem with the actual revenue and expense of your projects (Pivot table revenue and Expense by project).
Troubleshooting
- Issue A: No values appear on the worksheet.
- Solution A: Ensure that your account has the necessary permissions to access the Accounts & General ledger.
FAQs
- Q: Can I only see the projects that I want to see in this Report?
- A: Yes. The pivot table on Report acts like a normal pivot table, and you can filter out the projects that you don’t want to see by taking out the checkmark from the boxes.
Best practices
Connect to the correct company before loading this Report. Ensure that the Refresh after opening checkbox is checked. This enables the Report accurate company-wise and will save you some steps like clicking the Refresh button on the Logicim XLGL ribbon.
