The "Too many activations" error tells you that you have activated the software on more computers than your serial number allows.

To see a list of all activations, follow these steps:

Login to your online account
Look under Serial Numbers
Click the Manage button next to your Serial Number
This page will give you more information about your serial number, including a list of all activations.
Click Deactivate to deactivate a computer and release the license
