Information about Logicim’s New Platform Plan Security, Data Storage, and Backups
At Logicim, we understand that data security and privacy are top priorities for businesses of all sizes. Many customers—especially larger organizations—have questions about how our New Platform Plan handles security, data storage, and backups. Here’s what you need to know.
Is Logicim XLGL still a desktop application?
Yes. Although the New Platform Plan uses a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) licensing model, Logicim XLGL itself remains a desktop application. SaaS licensing does not mean your data is sent to the cloud.
Your data stays local
- Logicim does not store, share, or back up your customer data.
- All data remains within your local network and moves only between Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel during use.
- At no point does your business data leave your premises or pass through Logicim servers.
Current security practices
- The New Platform Plan follows industry-standard practices for account and subscription management, including secure user authentication and encrypted communication where required.
- While cloud security standards such as SOC 2 Type II are commonly referenced for cloud-hosted applications, these standards are not currently applicable to XLGL, as Logicim does not host or process your business data in the cloud.
Logicim’s New Platform Plan combines the convenience of SaaS licensing with the control and privacy of a local desktop application. You retain full ownership and control of your data, with no third-party storage, sharing, or backups—ensuring your business information stays exactly where you want it.
