Understanding roles and permissions in the Logicim Platform Plan

The Logicim XLGL Platform Plan uses a role-based structure to make subscription management clear, secure, and efficient. Whether you’re a small business or an enterprise team, these roles help everyone understand their responsibilities and permissions.

The Four Roles

1. Owner – Full Control and Oversight

The Owner has the highest level of access and ultimate responsibility for the plan.

Key Capabilities:

  1. Update plan name, notes, and status.
  2. Add or remove licenses, deactivate/reactivate the plan, and upgrade plans.
  3. Assign or unassign any role (including Owner, if another Owner exists).
  4. Update the credit card on file.
  5. Perform all actions available to other roles.

2. Manager – User and Activation Management

The Manager supports Owners by handling users and activations.

Key Capabilities:

  1. Manage users: add or remove User roles.
  2. Remove a User role from an Owner (but cannot remove the Owner role itself).
  3. Delete users with only the User role.
  4. View all user activations in the plan.

3. Buyer – Licensing and Billing Expert

The Buyer focuses on purchases, licensing, and billing.

Key Capabilities:

  1. Adjust license count and add licenses to trigger transactions.
  2. Upgrade plans (e.g., from Business to Enterprise).
  3. Update the credit card linked to the plan.

4. User – End User Access Only

The User role is intended for those using XLGL day-to-day.

Key Capabilities:

  1. View their own plan and activations only.
  2. Cannot manage or view other users.
  3. Only User roles count toward the license total.
