Logicim XLGL installation and activation

Getting ready to install

Before you can download and install Logicim XLGL, you must create an online account. You will receive an activation link by email. Click that link to activate your account.

Login to your account page, then click downloads. Finally, click the download button for Logicim XLGL. Once the file is ready, click on it to execute the installation program.

Ensure to review the requirement section of the Logicim XLGL page before installing. Also, ensure to close all Microsoft Excel and Sage 50 windows prior to installation.

Installation

Execute the installation program, accept the user license agreement, and click Next to complete the installation. When you are done, close the installation wizard.

Open Microsoft Excel to find the Logicim XLGL ribbon. If you do not see it or if the buttons on the ribbon are unresponsive, please see the troubleshooting video at the bottom of this page.

Activation

The first time you install Logicim XLGL, you need to activate it.

Logicim XLGL is now activated using your Platform Plan Code, replacing the previous serial number method. Your license is linked to your Logicim account subscription, making activation faster and easier.

Activate using Platform Plan

Option 1: Using Connect button

  1. Open Excel
  2. Go to the XLGL ribbon
  3. Click Connect
  4. Sign in using your Logicim credentials
  5. Select the Plan Code if multiple codes are available

Your license will be activated automatically.

Option 2: Using About button

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Go to the XLGL ribbon.
  3. Click About.
  4. Open Licensing.
  5. Sign in using your Logicim credentials.
  6. Select the Plan Code if multiple codes are available, or proceed automatically if only one is assigned.

Activate using Serial Number (old version)

If you are using an older version, activation may still require a serial number or trial.

  1. Click Activate in the XLGL menu
  2. Enter your serial number and click Validate, or start a 30-day trial
  3. Access this anytime from the About section, then click Activate.
