Logicim XLGL is missing from the ribbon/menu in Excel or the button is unresponsive. What can I do?

Logicim XLGL is not in the Excel ribbon/menu

There are three possible solutions

First solution

Try the following:

  2. Click on the Windows Start Menu button.
  3. Navigate down to the Logicim XLGL group and open it.
  4. Click on Register Logicim XLGL in Excel.

Second solution

Remove the Logicim XLGL add-ins from the disabled items list in Excel:

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Click on Options.
  3. Click on Add-ins.
  4. Select Disabled Items from the manage dropdown box at the bottom of the window.
  5. Click Go...
  6. Select the Logicim XLGL add-in(s) from the list and click enable.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click Ok in the options window.
  9. Close Excel.

  2. Navigate down to the Logicim XLGL group and open it.
  3. Click on Unregister XLGL in Excel.
  4. Open Excel.
  5. Click on Options.
  6. Click on Add-ins.
  7. Go to Manage and choose COM Add-ins and then Go...
  8. Click Add.
  9. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Logicim\XLGL and make sure that All Files is chosen.
  10. Choose adxloader64.Logicim.XLGL.dll from the list and click OK.
  11. Go to Manage and choose Excel Add-ins and then Go...
  12. Click Browse.
  13. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Logicim\XLGL and make sure that All Files is chosen.
  14. Choose adxloader64.Logicim.XLGL.dll from the list and click OK.

NOTE: If you are using a 32-bit Windows installation please choose adxloader.Logicim.XLGL.dll instead of the 64-bit version (adxloader64.Logicim.XLGL.dll)

Fourth Solution

  1. Temporarily disable all antivirus, anti-malware, and other security software, including Windows Defender.
  2. Search for and run Register Logicim XLGL in Excel.
  3. If the operation is successful, re-enable your security software one at a time to identify which one is causing the issue.
  4. Make the necessary changes to your security software to allow Logicim XLGL to run.
