Aged receivable
The Aged receivable Report tracks outstanding invoices by aging them based on a selected date. This Report provides visibility into overdue amounts, helping manage cash flow and prioritize collections. It also includes visual breakdowns for quick analysis.
Prerequisites
- Logicim XLGL version 5.0 or higher
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or higher
- Familiarity with Excel PivotTables
- Sage 50 US edition (2021 and above)
What the Report does
The Aged Receivable Report enables you to:
- Track outstanding invoices: View unpaid invoices categorized by aging periods.
- Choose aging method: Select whether to age invoices by Invoice Date or Due Date.
- Analyze trends: Identify patterns in receivables over time using built-in charts.
- Visualize data: Includes three key charts:
- Receivables breakdown by aging period
- Monthly aged receivables trend
- Top 10 aged receivables by customer
How to use the Report
- Open the Report workbook.
- Go to the Instructions sheet.
- Set Parameters:
- Enter the As of date (e.g., 12/31/2024) to define the aging reference point.
- Select Age Invoices by (choose between Invoice Date or Due Date from the dropdown list).
- Click the Refresh button from the Logicim XLGL tab to update the Report.
- Review the Report:
- Aging summary: Breaks down receivables into categories (0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and Over 90 Days).
- Customer-level details: View outstanding amounts by customer.
- Charts for Insights: Analyze trends and outstanding receivables visually.
Customization options
- Adjust the As of date and Age Invoices by based on business needs
- Add conditional formatting to highlight overdue invoices.

Troubleshooting
- Issue: The Report doesn’t update after changing parameters in the Instructions sheet.
