Cash flow
The Cash flow Report enables you to track the cash movement in and out of your business over a specific period. It provides insights into your company’s liquidity, expenses, investment, and financial planning.
Prerequisites
- Logicim XLGL version 5.0 or higher
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or higher
- Sage 50 US Edition (2021 and above)
What the Report does
This Report enables you to break down cash transactions, analyze cash position through identifying trends in income and expenditures, and provide data to forecast future cash flow needs.
How to use the Report
- Open the Report workbook.
- Go to the Cash flow sheet.
- Enter the Start date in cell E2.
- Enter the End date in cell E3.
- Review the sections:
- Operating activities: Shows cash from core business operations.
- Investing activities: Tracks cash from investments.
- Financing activities: Displays cash flow from debt, equity, and dividends.
Customization options
- Adjust the date range in cells E2 and E3 for different periods.
- Expanding date ranges: To include an additional date range, copy column E and paste it into the desired column. Then, adjust the date parameters to reflect your preferred timeframe.

- A: Go to the Logicim XLGL tab in Excel and check the connection status. Click the Refresh button to ensure the data is updated.
