Transaction Report

This report lets you see the transactions made per fund or transaction type.

Prerequisite

  1. Logicim XLGL version 5.0 or higher
  2. Microsoft Excel 2016 or higher
  3. Sage 50 Canadian Edition (2014 and above) 

What the Report does

This report is useful when you want to drill down on the transactions made per fund or transaction type.

How to use the Report

  1. Cell C7 and C8 on the Instructions worksheet is where you enter the start and end dates.

  3. Once you set up the dates, click the Refresh button on the Logicim XLGL ribbon.

  5. The Report will then automatically populate the pivot table with values.

Common use cases

This report gives you a good drill down of a fund's transactions. It is a good way of tracking when and where those occurred. It also lets you filter by transaction type (revenue or expense) for easier tracking.

Troubleshooting

  1. Issue A: No values appear on the worksheet.
  2. Solution A: Ensure your account has the necessary permissions to access the Accounts & General Ledger.

  2. Solution B: Ensure that you are connected to the right company.

FAQs

  1. Q: I only want to see funds in a specific transaction type that I want to analyze for the time being.
  2. A: Yes, you can! The report is a pivot table, and you can filter funds and transaction types that you don't want to see. On the Transaction Report worksheet cells C5 and C6, you would find the filters for the Transaction Type and Fund. Click the drop-down arrows and you can uncheck the funds or transaction type that you don’t want to see.

Best practices

Always connect to the correct company before loading this Report. Ensure the Refresh after opening checkbox is selected. This ensures the Report loads company-specific data accurately and eliminates the need to click the Refresh button on the Logicim XLGL ribbon.
