Running an NPO Report
Before running a Report, make sure you are connected to your Sage 50 company data.
Running a Report included with Logicim XLGL
- Click "Reports and forms" from the Logicim XLGL ribbon tab in Excel. This will open the Reports panel on the left side of the window. This panel shows a list of Report templates available in Logicim XLGL.
- Open a category to see the Reports it contains. For example, expand "Non-profit organizations", click on Fund Income statement, then click "Load." The Report will be loaded and updated with your Sage 50 company data.
- Review the Reports included with Logicim XLGL. Most Reports contain an Instructions worksheet with information about the report, while another sheet contains the report itself. Click the Income Statement tab to view the report.
- You can change the Reporting period to any date range you prefer. By default, the Report shows data for your current fiscal year, but you can modify it as needed. For example, to view results for March 2025 only, change the dates in the Instructions worksheet (cells C8 and C9) to March 1, 2025 and March 31, 2025. We recommend entering dates in the year-month-day format to ensure Excel interprets them correctly. When you update one or both dates, the Report refreshes automatically.
- If you’ve entered new transactions in Sage 50 and want the report to update, click Refresh on the Logicim XLGL menu.
Make quick modifications and save your Report
You can easily customize this report without needing any advanced knowledge of Logicim XLGL. For example, you can modify formatting such as font size or color, just as you would in Excel.
The Report is dynamic, and Logicim XLGL will retain your changes to keep them consistent throughout.
Once you are satisfied with your edits, remember to save your file so you can keep your changes and reopen it later. The Logicim XLGL template Reports available in the Reports panel always retain their original layout, but you can save multiple copies and keep each report dynamic and updatable.
Custom Report made for you
Whether you have a report file you modified yourself or a custom report built specifically for you, you can open it like any other Excel file. Simply click File, then Open. Remember to connect to your Sage 50 company data before trying to update a Report.
