Logicim's ready-to-use Sage 50 US Sales

The Sales Ready-to-Use Report gives you a sales summary for Sage 50 US over a selected date range. It shows customer-level sales activity, sales tax, cost, and total amount details, and includes a chart view for the top 10 customers.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, or Windows terminal server (2012 and above)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Sage 50 US edition (2021 and above)
- Internet connection
- The Sales Ready-to-Use Report is available from the US Accounts Receivable catalog.
What the Report Does
The Sales Report uses the dates entered on the Instructions worksheet to show sales activity on the Report worksheet. The visible output includes Customer, Date, Transaction Type, Reference, Cost, Sales, Sales Tax, and Total Amount. The workbook also contains hidden Data, COGS, and ChartData worksheets that support the visible Report and chart calculations. The Chart worksheet shows Top 10 Sales, Costs, and Taxes by Customer for the selected period.
How to Use the Report
Step 1) Enter the report period on the Instructions worksheet. Use C8 for Start: and C9 for End

Step 2) Click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon to update the Report after changing the dates.

Step 3) Select Go to Report... to review the Report worksheet. Use the customer groupings, transaction rows, subtotals, and Grand Total to review sales, cost, sales tax, and total amount values.

Step 4) Select Go to Chart... to review the Chart worksheet for the top 10 sales, costs, and taxes by customer.

Customization Options
You can change the date range on the Instructions worksheet and refresh the Report. You can also use standard Excel formatting, sorting, filtering, or printing options on the visible worksheets. The workbook includes a Click here to have this report customized for you link on the Instructions worksheet for changes beyond ordinary date selection or Excel formatting.

- Review sales activity by customer for a selected fiscal period.
- Compare customer sales, costs, sales tax, and total amounts in one Report.
- Review sales invoice and customer credit memo activity shown in the Transaction Type column.

Troubleshooting
- Issue: The Report still shows the previous period. Solution: Confirm the Start: and End: dates on the Instructions worksheet, then click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon.
- Issue: The Report opens with no expected sales rows. Solution: Confirm that you are connected to the correct Sage 50 US company and that the selected date range contains sales activity.
- Issue: The chart does not match the period you expected. Solution: Refresh the workbook after changing the dates, then reopen the Chart worksheet.
