Customer Aging- Detailed and Summary
The Customer Aging- Detailed and Summary Report shows outstanding Sage 50 Canada customer receivables as of the date selected on the Instructions worksheet, with customer-level totals, transaction details, and aging charts.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, or Windows terminal server (2012 and above)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Sage 50 Canadian edition (2014 and above)
- Internet connection
What the Report Does
The Summary worksheet shows the Summary Customer Aging Report with customer name, email, last sale date, currency, foreign value, total, Current, 60 Days, 90 Days, 120 Days, and 121 + columns, plus a Grand Total line. The Detail worksheet shows the Detail Customer Aging Report with transaction-level source, date, due date, transaction type, foreign value, total, Current, 60 Days, 90 Days, 120 Days, and 121 + columns, plus customer total lines. The Chart worksheet includes Month by Month Statistic and Customer Aging Summary visuals. The hidden SummaryData and DetailData worksheets calculate aged amounts from Instructions!C9 using the workbook's visible aging periods.
How to Use the Report
1) Enter the as-at date in Instructions!C9 beside Customer aged summary as at:.
2) Click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon to update the Report.
3) Click Go to Summary Report... to review customer-level totals on the Summary worksheet.
4) Click Go to Detail Report... to review transaction rows, source numbers, dates, due dates, transaction types, and customer total lines on the Detail worksheet.
5) Click Go to Chart... to review the Month by Month Statistic visual on the Chart worksheet.
6) Review the Customer Aging Summary visual on the same Chart worksheet.
Customization Options
Use Instructions!C9 as the source-supported date parameter for the aging date. The Detail worksheet also displays a Transaction field set to (All) in the source workbook. For additional changes, use the workbook link labeled Click here to have this report customized for you on the Instructions worksheet.
Common Use Cases
- Review outstanding customer receivables grouped by aging period as of a selected date.
- Use Summary to scan customer balances, emails, last sale dates, currencies, totals, and aging buckets.
- Use Detail to review source numbers, transaction dates, due dates, transaction types, and customer subtotal lines.
- Use Chart to review month-by-month statistics and the customer aging summary visual.
Troubleshooting
Issue: The Report is not showing the expected as-at date.
Solution: Check Instructions!C9 beside Customer aged summary as at: and click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon.
Issue: You are on Instructions and need to view the output.
Solution: Use Go to Summary Report..., Go to Detail Report..., or Go to Chart... to move to the required worksheet.
Issue: The Detail worksheet includes more transaction types than expected.
Solution: Review the Transaction field on Detail, which is shown as (All) in the source workbook.
