Purchase Dashboard

Purchase Dashboard is an interactive report that provides a visual overview of purchase trends and top vendor cities, item classes, and vendor suppliers.

Prerequisites

  1. Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, or Windows Terminal Server (2012 and above)
  2. Microsoft Office 365
  3. Sage 50 US edition (2014 and above)
  4. Internet connection

What the Report Does

This report shows a customizable graph of Top 5 Vendor Cities, Top 5 Item Classes, Top 5 Vendor Suppliers and Purchases Trend Analysis.

How to Use the Report

1) Enter the starting and end dates in C9 and C10.

2) Click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon.

3) Review the result:

a) Purchase Dashboard

 

Customization Options

  1. Adjust the desired year in the Parameters sheet to generate data for a different period. 
  2. You may customize the Pivot Chart by selecting PivotChart Analyse > Field List.

Common Use Cases

  1. Analyze purchasing trends over time to identify increases, decreases, or seasonal spending patterns.
  2. Monitor the top vendor cities, item classes, and suppliers contributing to overall purchase activity.
  3. Compare purchasing performance across vendors and categories to support budgeting and procurement decisions.

Troubleshooting

  1. Issue: No data is populated.
  2. Solution: Verify that the input parameters are correct and that the selected date range contains existing records.

  1. Q: Can I change the appearance of the report?
  2. A: Yes, you may change the color and positioning without ruining the back-end logic.

  1. Save a backup copy of the Report before making significant changes.
