Sales Order Register
Sales Analysis is a report that summarizes sales performance by item, customer, salesperson, or transaction type, helping identify sales trends, revenue, profitability, and top-selling products over a selected period.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, or Windows Terminal Server (2012 and above)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Sage 50 US edition (2014 and above)
- Internet connection
What the Report Does
The Sales Analysis report provides a detailed view of sales performance by customer and item, including quantities sold, selling prices, costs, sales amounts, gross profit, and gross margin. It helps users analyze revenue and profitability trends, identify top-performing products and customers, and evaluate overall sales performance for a selected period. An additional dashboard tab highlights the Top 10 Customers and Top 10 Items, offering a quick summary of the highest contributors to sales revenue and volume.
How to Use the Report
1) In the Instruction tab, there is a yellow-highlighted cell where you should enter the start/end date.
2) Click Refresh in the XLGL Ribbon.

- You may modify the Pivot table to add, modify, or delete a column.

Troubleshooting
- Issue: No data is populated.
- Solution: Verify that the input parameters are correct. You may validate in Sage 50 if the customer and reference number is expected to have no value.

- Q: Can I select a specific Customer name?
- A: Yes, by simply selecting the auto filter in the header of the Pivot Table. You may select which Customer Name you want to show.

- Save a backup copy of the Report before making significant changes.
