The Pivot Table Comparative Trial Balance Report organizes trial-balance debits and credits in a pivot table for side-by-side comparisons.

What the Report does

It provides Report, Comparative, and Chart views to compare account balances across periods and supported dimensions and identify changes or variances.

How to use the Report

Step 1: Enter the reporting date in C8.

Step 2: Select Refresh on the XLGL ribbon.

Step 3: Review the Report, Comparative, and Chart results.

Customization options

Adjust the desired year on the Parameters sheet and use the pivot-table header Autofilter to select a type.

Common use cases

  1. Compare trial-balance figures across periods.
  2. Analyze changes in account balances.
  3. Support reconciliation, audit, and reporting reviews.

Troubleshooting

Issue: No data is populated.
Solution: Verify the input parameters and confirm that the selected period contains records, then select Refresh.
