Introduction
The Sales Analysis - DB Report analyzes sales by customers and products for a selected period.
Prerequisites
What the Report does
The Instructions worksheet controls the period with C8 and C9. The Report worksheet shows customers and Product Code Name values with Stocking Unit Qty, Selling Unit Qty, average costs, Freight, Total Sale, Total Cost, Gross Profit, and GP %. It includes filters for Service / Inventory, Category, and Salesperson. The Top 5 worksheet summarizes customer and product totals.
How to use the Report
Step 1: Enter the start date in Instructions!C8 and the end date in Instructions!C9.
Step 2: Select Refresh on the XLGL ribbon.
Step 3: Select Go to Report... to review customer and product sales on the Report worksheet.
Step 4: Use the Service / Inventory, Category, or Salesperson filters as needed.
Step 5: Review the Top 5 worksheet to compare the highest customer and product totals.
Customization options
Change the period in Instructions!C8:C9 before refreshing. Use the visible filters on Report to focus a service or inventory type, category, or salesperson.
Common use cases
- Review sales by customer and product.
- Compare Total Sale, Total Cost, Gross Profit, and GP %.
- Identify the highest customer and product totals in Top 5.
Troubleshooting
Issue: The Report shows the wrong period or narrower results than expected.
Solution: Verify Instructions!C8:C9, review the active filters, then select Refresh.
