Items Purchased by Vendors
The Items Purchased by Vendors Report lists items purchased from vendors in Sage 50 US for a selected date range. Use the Report to review item-level purchase details, compare quantities and amounts by vendor, and identify vendors with the highest purchase totals.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11 Pro, or Windows Terminal Server (2012 and above)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Sage 50 US edition (2021 and above)
- Internet connection
What the Report Does
The Items Purchased by Vendors Report displays vendor purchase lines on the Report worksheet. Visible columns include Vendor ID, Name, Item ID, Item Description, Stocking U/M, Quantity, and Amount.
The Report groups the results by vendor and includes vendor totals and a grand total. The Chart worksheet includes Items Purchased from Vendors and Top 10 Vendors by Amount views for the selected period.
How to Use the Report
Step 1: Enter the start date in the Start field and the end date in the End field on the Instructions worksheet.
Step 2: Click Refresh on the XLGL ribbon to update the Report.
Step 3: Click Go to Report... or select the Report worksheet to review purchased items by vendor, quantity, and amount.
Step 4: Click Go to Chart... or select the Chart worksheet to review purchased items and the top 10 vendors by amount.
Customization Options
- Change the Start and End dates on the Instructions worksheet, then refresh the Report.
- Use standard Excel sorting, filtering, formatting, and print settings on a saved copy of the Report.

Issue: Vendor or item totals differ from the expected amounts.
Solution: Confirm the selected date range and Sage 50 US company connection, then refresh the Report.
Issue: Additional item or vendor fields are required.
